Delphi and C++ Builder Programming

Okay, I know that Delphi and C++ Builder Programming doesn't fit with this site's main purpose.  But, hey, its my site, and my software, so here it is.

Objective Software Technology doesn't seem to support their ABC for Delphi (ABC Tools) anymore.  Here is unofficial and unwarranted Delphi 2005 Win32 support for it.  (You must own ABC for Delphi, version 7.00 Pro with source to use this.)

Now, also Delphi 2006 support, including C++ Builder 2006!

(Note:  Delphi 2007 is supposed to be a "non-breaking" release, yet it seems to break a lot of ABC Tools.  I couldn't get it to compile under 2007, and I didn't feel like trying to get it to work.  It has been my understanding that Delphi 2007 has roughly the same compiler as 2006 and that you can load .BPLs made with 2006.  So, you might could build ABC with Delphi 2006 and then load it into 2007. But I don't think I will bother trying it myself.)

I've got a fairly trivial little freeware component, printable checkboxes for QuickReport.  Yes, I know Delphi 7/2005/2006 now comes with Rave Reports.  So far, I've continued to use QuickReports simply because it is what I am used to.  So, if you're also still using QR, you can use my checkboxes.  Also note that Delphi 7 does not install QuickReports on the component palette, but it is still available for manual install.  For Delphi 2005 and 2006, you need to purchase QuickReports from www.qusoft.com.

Version 10 now supports Delphi 2006 (Win32 mode only).  Also supports Delphi 5/6/7/2005 and C++ Builder 5/6.  It only supports QuickReports 4.  Older versions of QRCB that you might find around the web support QuickReports 2 and 3, and earlier versions of Delphi.  (Delphi 2007 support coming soon!)

For serial port communications, you can use the freeware CPort.  Actually, I'm not the author of this.  Dejan Crnila is the author.  I just did the C++ Builder and Delphi 2005 & 2006 support for it. (Delphi 2007 support coming soon!)
